Before you start
Before you use this guide to set up iSCSI initiator ports on the server or to set up iSCSI security (Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol), you must:
All network hardware has been installed, including any NICs, switches, and cabling.Refer to the appropriate documentation for any components that you are installing, including switch documentation, and the configuration worksheet that you created when you installed your storage system.
The storage-system iSCSI ports have been configured.
The Solaris 10 Update 3 or later release, or Solaris 10 Update 2 with the SUNWiscsir and SUNWiscsiu packages has been installed.
The latest HP-UX patches have been installed on the server. For information on the latest patches, refer to www.hp.com.
Complete the worksheets in the storage system configuration planning guide that either shipped with your storage system or that you generated from the customized storage-system support website.
